The Racquet Club is host to 23 beautifully maintained Har-Tru clay courts and 4 hard courts nestled among stately Live Oak trees. You can even play well into the evening under 5 lighted courts including the 1,800 seat stadium court. There is a full service pro shop and they offer a liberal schedule of round robins, mixers and open-court times.

Smith Stearns Tennis Academy

Smith Stearns Tennis Academy

Sea Pines is home to the Smith Stearns Tennis Academy that was founded in 2002 with the goal of creating an environment conductive to helping dedicated young players reach their ultimate potential both on and off the court. Tennis players can hone their skills with programs offered by USPTA-certified professional instructors who utilize Dartfish technology, the same used by the US Olympic Committee and the NBA, to analyze player’s movements and techniques. In 1971, Sea Pines Resort signed Stan Smith – former U.S. Open and Wimbledon champion as its touring professional and he has been with the resort ever since. Billy Stearns is considered to be one of the top coaches in the world. Their Tennis Academy is preparing players for collegiate and professional tennis.

South Beach Racquet Club

South Beach Racquet Club

Located next to the South Beach Marina, The South Beach Racquet Club has long been considered one of the friendliest places on the Island to play. They have a full service pro shop, clubhouse and separate dressing rooms for men and women with lockers and a shower in each. After a great match enjoy the members lounge. Both resident and non-resident membership opportunities are available and the general public is invited to play on their 13 Har-Tru clay courts, two of which are lighted. A wide variety of tennis programs and instruction are offered for adults, juniors and children ages 5-8. If you are looking for a game, either singles or doubles, they will be happy to set one up for you.
